FLUX Hawaii pop-up event in Paddington Presented by Hawaii Tourism Oceania and made possible via SpaceBook (ex-PopupBrands)
Design, culture, fashion and lifestyle magazine FLUX Hawaii is coming to Australian for the first time. Presented by Hawaii Tourism Oceania, the pop-up shop will showcase fashion, stationery, accessories and art from 30 Hawaii-based and Hawaii-inspired brands.
The Flux team visited SpaceBook (ex-PopupBrands) back early this year where the Hawaiian team found a couple of great spaces via theSpaceBook (ex-PopupBrands) website. As one of the account managers from the Flux team discussed the upcoming event directly with the Space Owner, the team at PopupBrands was at hand if any of the parties needed anything to smooth over the booking process.
The FLUX Hawaii Shop is made possible with support from Hawaii Tourism Oceania, the Creative Industries Division of the State of Hawaii Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (CID/DBEDT), Hawaiian Airlines, Marriott Hotels and Resorts, and Klick Communications.
Throughout the four-day pop-up, there will be range of creative workshops, performances and cultural discussions, including a much-anticipated show by Kimié Miner, who won the Na Hoku Hanohano Best Contemporary Album of the Year 2017.
After recent pop-ups in Los Angeles and Brooklyn, and following an appearance at New York Fashion Week, the FLU team felt Sydney was the next-best location to visit, considering the city’s beach-y, laid-back energy.
The pop-up shop is open 11am–7pm @17 Oxford St, Paddington NSW 2021 – Until May 28, 2017.
